Early Spring:
This treatment will help your lawn recover from the dormant
winter. A fertilizer feeding promotes strong growth. A pre-emergent
crabgrass control is applied to all areas at risk for crabgrass
invasion. Pesky weeds like dandelions are controlled as needed.
This is also the time of year for a pre-emergent mulch
bed weed control application.
Early
Summer: A gradual release fertilizer is applied to
maintain vigorous growth and good color. Careful and thorough
control measures will be applied as needed to minimize weed populations,
such as dandelions and clover. Lawn is monitored for turf insect
problems and treated as needed. This would be the time for us
to apply your tick
control application.
Summer:
As temperatures warm we will switch to a slow release fertilizer.
Persistent broadleaf weeds are treated selectively. Lawn is monitored
for turf insect problems and treated as needed. Weeds in the walkways
and patio's and other landscape area's could also be treated at
this time with a vegetation
control application.
Late
Summer: An application of fertilizer is applied at
this time to maintain a healthy turf. This treatment will help
your lawn fight disease, drought and other heat related stresses.
Hard to control summer weeds like crabgrass, spurge and oxalis
will be spot controlled as needed. Lawn is monitored for turf
insect problems and treated as needed. This is a great time to
think about scheduling aeration
and over-seeding for the fall.
Fall:
Fall is the best growing time of the year for turf grass. We will
apply a heavy rate of fertilizer. Rapid root and top growth will
maximize recovery from summer stresses. Weeds will be controlled
as needed. Fall is a great time to make a plan for the spring
to follow, so don't hesitate to contact
us with any questions.
Lime
Application:
Granular palletized lime to condition soil and balance pH levels.
