Sea
of Green has found that most tick problems come from the woods/un-mowed
edges and from larger mulch bed planting areas. Sea of Green will
apply a protective insect control barrier along these "edge
areas". The tick applications should be done in the spring
and in the fall, when the tick population is at its peak. In severe
cases an entire lawn area treatment may be needed, but we have found
that regular mowing practices greatly help to reduce the tick activity
in lawn areas.

Pest Control
A
perimeter pest control program helps to create a barrier around
the exterior of your home that repels insect pest from coming inside.
It is your 1st line of defense to prevent insects from entering
your home. Sea of Green will apply an insect spray to the exterior
of your home along the foundation and approximately 4 feet wide
around the circumference of your home. Once a barrier is established
with your first treatment, regular applications will help to maintain
its effectiveness.

Much
like your lawn, ornamental landscape plants need the proper nutrients
to remain healthy. Proper feedings help to compensate for poor soil
and less than ideal planting locations. When your trees and shrubs
are in top health and are thriving they are often strong enough
to ward off most insects and disease attacks without serious or
permanent damage.

Bed Weed Control
In
the spring a pre-emergent material is applied to all mulch bed planting
areas. This product will help prevent weeds from sprouting. This
will not prevent every weed from coming up, however it will drastically
reduce the time and money spent caring for the mulch bed through-out
the season. For continued season long control we also recommend
the vegetation control.

Vegetation Control
This
is the post emergent control of unwanted vegetation (weeds). We
will spot treat for weed growth in all drives, walk, patios and
more open mulch bed areas. To provide control of the many different
weed species, 3 visits are scheduled during the May - September
growing season and can be done during our regularly scheduled lawn
care visits.
